Band 7 Therapeutic Radiographer

To be primarily responsible for leading and managing a team of radiographers (3-4 staff) and co-ordinating the day-to-day clinical operations either of the CT scanner or designated treatment machine in accordance with the policies of the department and trust. Manage a caseload of patients, ensuring patients have accurate and consistent planning and treatment. The post holder will work on a rotational basis through both pre-treatment and treatment. Liaise with other disciplines to monitor and improve service. Support and train members of the team to maintain and develop professional and personal skills and standards. Assist the Pre-Treatment and Treatment Lead Radiographers and Radiotherapy Satellite Operational Manager in the implementation of change within the radiotherapy service. Provide expert advice on pre-treatment/treatment procedures and treatment related side effects and their management to patients and their carers. To liaise with other disciplines to ensure total coverage in all aspects of patient care.
