Full Job Description
The ICST is a CAMHS team set up to enhance the risk support offer to young people, via the provision of an outreach and intensive intervention team to support the CYP with the most complex needs. The service operates at the interface of the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment team and inpatient admission. The team will prioritise CYP presenting with repeating patterns of crisis presentation and associated high risk behaviour. This service is particularly aimed at meeting the needs of the cohort of young people with complex needs, emotional dysregulation and associated high risk behaviour, for whom an inpatient admission may potentially cause longer term detriment by inadvertently increasing the risk profile. These young people are likely to have emotional regulation difficulties/ extensive trauma histories/ ASD/ Intellectual Disability and present with high-risk behaviours. The team provides intensive, psychologically and trauma-informed support in the community, working with young people, families, and existing services to deliver holistic, integrated, and personalised care plans.,
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team to assess the needs of CYP alongside registered Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers, an Occupational Therapist, Psychotherapist, Psychologist and Peer Support.
- Working with young people and their families/ carers to develop holistic care plans / treatment interventions.
- Offering full programme Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (full training as a DBT therapist included) .
- Working with other agencies in a collaborative way to manage risk.
- Working within a team who prioritise compassion, adaptability and creativity.
- Line management responsibilities.
