Full Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Operations Manager to join our Community Services leadership team in Solihull. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver innovative urgent and community care services that support people to remain safely at home and avoid unnecessary hospital admissions.
The post provides operational leadership across a diverse portfolio including Urgent Community Response, Virtual Wards, the Care Co-ordination Centre, Locality Hub and Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs). Working closely with clinical leaders and system partners, you will lead service delivery, performance, workforce, quality improvement and transformation, ensuring patient-centred care.

You'll play a key role in delivering the Community Transformation Business Case, embedding Integrated Neighbourhood Teams, expanding community pathways, strengthening neighbourhood working and implementing new models of care that improve outcomes for patients across Solihull., The Operations Manager will provide day-to-day operational leadership across Urgent Community Response, Virtual Wards, the Care Co-ordination Centre, Locality Hub and Integrated Neighbourhood Teams. Working closely with clinical leads, service managers and system partners, the postholder will ensure safe, effective and responsive services.
Key responsibilities include leading operational performance, workforce, finance, quality, governance and service delivery; supporting recruitment and staff development; and ensuring services meet agreed standards, targets and patient needs.
The postholder will play a key role in delivering the Community Transformation Business Case, leading quality improvement projects, developing new pathways and models of care, and improving referral quality, patient flow and system integration.
They will lead the development of data capture and reporting processes to demonstrate service performance, patient outcomes, experience and the impact of improvement initiatives, using data to drive continuous service improvement and evidence the benefits of community-based care.
The role will require strong partnership working across acute, community, primary care, and wider system partners. Building effective relationships to improve integrated care and deliver better outcomes for the population of Solihull.
