Full Job Description
We are looking for a full time or part time Non-Medical Prescriber. An opportunity has arisen to join the REACH team as a Non-Medical Prescriber; supporting people who use drugs and alcohol to stabilise, work towards recovery and build positive and fulfilling futures for themselves.
As a prescriber you will work with an allocated cohort of service users from a specific area of Dorset (various options available) and be part of an integrated team of drug and alcohol professionals. Clinical leadership is provided by an AWP Consultant Addictions Psychiatrist.
We are looking for a skilled Non-medical prescriber with experience of working within a drug and alcohol treatment setting and a passion for supporting people towards the best possible outcomes. The successful candidate will thrive when working in partnership with a multi-disciplinary team and in a person-centred, flexible and responsive way.

Main duties of the job
To work as an Independent Non-Medical Prescriber in partnership with the service user and act as a specialist in Non-Medical Prescribing for service users with substance misuse needs.
To work as an experienced member of staff in theReach Team. Provide and develop a specialist drug and alcohol service to service users, including the assessment of treatment and care needs, and the planning, implementation and evaluation of care to meet needs and contributing to the evaluation of care across the REACH prescribing service with a variety of settings where specialist prescribing is available.
Senior Nurse prescriber for service users working with the Reach care coordinator and other members of the multidisciplinary REACH team and other agencies involved in the care of individual service users.
Contribute to Integrated Governance processes, including the continuing development, improvement and monitoring of service provision and performance, and monitoring standards of care, through data collection and audit processes.Liaise with, and provide support, advice and training as appropriate to REACH colleagues/services and agencies involved in provision of services to people with drug and/or alcohol problems.
Contribute to the supervision of identified staff, and provision of training for students of various disciplines, as appropriate.
