Are you an ambitious and experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist looking to take the next step in your leadership career?, To provide advanced assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for community patients requiring specialist therapy interventions, supporting safe and effective hospital discharge and ongoing recovery within the community. The post holder will act as a clinical expert and source of advice for therapists, managers, healthcare professionals, and partner organisations, contributing to complex decision-making and risk management to ensure safe discharge planning.

Working collaboratively across partners and organisations the post holder will facilitate timely access to appropriate assessment, intervention and support for older adults with rehabilitation needs. They will provide clinical and operational leadership for the enhanced discharge pathway, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective services that achieve key performance and patient outcome measures.

The role includes responsibility for the supervision, appraisal, training, and development of staff and students, alongside day-to-day workforce management and associated HR responsibilities. The post holder will work closely with fellow Therapy Team Leads and the Clinical Team Lead to support service delivery, workforce planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will lead service development through clinical audit, evaluation of evidence-based practice, research, and data analysis, demonstrating the impact and value of the service through exceptional leadership and management skills.

University Hospitals Birmingham is seeking a highly motivated and skilled clinician with a passion for community based rehabilitation to join the Solihull Community Therapy Team as a Band 7 Therapy Team Lead.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine both clinical leadership and operational management, leading a large multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate, and person-centred care across the community.

The successful candidate will be adaptable, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will support the team in meeting the challenges of increasing demand, facilitating patient flow from acute hospital settings, and delivering high-quality therapy interventions within the community.

A key clinical focus of this role will be the leadership and delivery of objectives relating to Pathway One Plus (P1+) an enchanced hospital discharge service, working closely with system partners to support safe, effective, and responsive discharge pathways for older adults in Solihull.
