We are advertising two, 12-month fixed-term Art Psychotherapist posts within the Community Art Psychotherapy Team, part of the Trust-wide Arts Psychotherapies Service.

Both posts are based within our Solihull hub, located at the following centres:

  • The Lyndon Centre, Solihull (B32 7JB) where the successful canduidate will be required to work on a Mon, Tuesa, Thurs & Fri.
  • Maple Leaf Centre (B37 7JB) where the successful candidate will be required to work on a Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs.

Both roles are embedded within busy Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) settings, where you will work alongside a range of multi-disciplinary clinical professionals, while also being an active member of the Community Art Psychotherapy Team and the wider Arts Psychotherapies Service.

The Arts Psychotherapies Service has developed significantly in recent years and offers a supportive professional environment with a clear career structure from entry-level to Consultant Arts Psychotherapist. The service includes arts psychotherapists working across community and specialist services, alongside an expanding trainee placement programme. Post holders will have access to regular professional supervision, peer support, and opportunities for continued professional development.

These posts provide an excellent opportunity to further develop experience in community mental health within a well-established, growing and forward-thinking arts psychotherapies service.

Developing and informing referral pathways, facilitating a range of art psychotherapy interventions to individuals and groups, providing consultation to other clinical staff and working as part of the MDT within the community mental health team setting. You will receive clinical supervision from an experienced art psychotherapist, line management support from within the community art psychotherapy team, access to training and development opportunities to expand your skills within a dynamic team in a busy community mental health setting.
