Full Job Description
If you are an enthusiastic clinical psychologist who is passionate about clinical work, high quality mental health services and a holistic approach to supporting individuals who are struggling with their mental health, we would love to hear from you. Working as Clinical Lead in the MINT team, you will provide clinical leadership and training, specialist psychological assessment and therapy, as well as consultation and support to other staff delivering psychological interventions under supervision. The ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams will be essential to developing your role. You will need to be well organised with the ability to prioritise your work according to clinical need and liaise effectively with team colleagues and professionals in other agencies. The post is available as either an 8a post or as a Band 7/8a developmental post, dependent on experience. North Somerset PTS services work across all community, acute and inpatient services within North Somerset. The service is staffed by a multidisciplinary team comprising of clinical psychologists, arts psychotherapists, family therapists, CBT therapists and psychotherapists. We are a friendly and supportive team, who are highly valued within local services.,
- To provide clinical leadership to the Mental Wellbeing Integrated Network Team (MINT).
- To liaise with relevant partner agencies in North Somerset to further develop the team.
- To work with MINT colleagues and partner agencies to develop processes and procedures for the team which enhance relationships with local services.
- To provide highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy to patients and carers to the MINT.
- To provide highly specialist advice and consultation on clients' formulation and psychological management to other non-psychologist colleagues.
- To use highly specialist psychological knowledge and skills to contribute to the more effective management of patients by the various teams working into the local MINT and in the area.
- To clinically supervise/line manage trainee clinical psychologists, assistant psychologists, Clinical Associate Psychologists (CAPs) and less experienced psychology staff, and other professionals.
- To contribute to audit, research, policy and service development within the areas served by the MINT.
- To develop and deliver training in psychological therapies for multidisciplinary staff.
