Full Job Description

Work as a senior member of the team of Radiographers covering all sections of the department including mould room, CT scanning, virtual simulation and contouring, delivery of a wide range of both simple & complex treatment and IGRT techniques. Support the team leader in the day-to-day management of their assigned pre-treatment or treatment work area, assisting in the organisation and management of the clinical workload. Liaising with the multidisciplinary team. Assist with the day-to-day organisation of a treatment unit to ensure an efficient service is delivered and workload targets are achieved. Supervise, support & teach junior members of staff and students.

  • BSc (Hon) in Radiotherapy.
  • HCPC registered as Therapeutic Radiographer
  • Core knowledge of a range of radiotherapy equipment and techniques
  • A general understanding of computerised treatment planning systems.
  • Post registration experience of working as a Therapeutic Radiographer with rotations through pre-treatment and treatment during that period
  • Current relevant experience
  • Experience and knowledge of all IGRT modalities
  • Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of post graduate study
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Previous senior experience
  • Experience of advanced techniques e.g., SABR, SRS, DIBH, TBI, Adaptive RT
  • Evaluation of CBCT images
  • Experience of mentoring/training student radiographers, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
