An exciting Band 6 Static Respiratory Physiotherapist opportunity has arisen in our multi-professional inpatient therapy team at Newham University Hospital, part of Barts Health NHS Trust. Based in East London, we provide acute services for this vibrant, multicultural community. We are looking for a highly skilled, innovative and passionate individual to join our Physiotherapy team as a Static Band 6 Physiotherapist The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, autonomous and dynamic individual who is committed to further improving their clinical assessment and activity analysis skills and providing high quality, timely and effective services to patients and the organisation. The successful candidate will work as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team to develop your clinical, leadership, teaching and service development skills whilst working within a supportive and motivated team. The team is committed to ongoing learning and development and as a member of the team the successful candidate will be part of this as well as take a leading role.Main duties of the job To provide high quality physiotherapy interventions, working as part of a team covering a caseload of acute patients including those requiring acute respiratory management on ICU ; respiratory, cardiology, medical wards; and outpatient respiratory clinics. To use this role to develop professionally within the respiratory physiotherapy speciality and provide high-quality experience to patients and team members. • Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
• Member of the Health Care Professions Council, Relevant post registration experience as a Physiotherapist including tracheostomy care.
• Post registration experience in relevant clinical settings: Critical care, Respiratory, Neurology, Surgery, MSK.
• Documented evidence of CPD, in accordance with HCPC recommendations
• Experience of working as part of a multi- disciplinary team
• Advice, training and support to more junior staff, assistants and students.
• Experience of sole working as part of an emergency out of hours service
• To have had relevant NHS or similar experience
• Experience of audit/research.

• Member of specific interest group
• Committee membership eg Risk Management, Broad knowledge of current best practice in PT in acute physical, community and rehab setting
• Detailed knowledge risk management
