Full Job Description

The main role of the Paediatric Audiologist will be to independently provide routine and non-routine paediatric behavioural assessments, perform highly specialised paediatric test procedures and highly specialised assessments for paediatric patients, as well as partake in specialised clinics as directed by the Clinical Lead for Paediatric Audiology.

University Hospitals Birmingham have a great opportunity to recruit an enthusiastic and well-motivated Senior Paediatric Audiologist.

The post holder will be based at Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham, with potential travel to Solihulll Hospital. You will be working within a motivated and enthusiastic team to deliver excellent patient care.

The post holder will be an experienced, qualified Audiologist who will undertake a full range of diagnostic clinical tests including activities that are highly specialised, complex and non-routine. The work will involve a significant degree of responsibility and will require the ability to communicate complex and sensitive information clearly and effectively, both verbally or through an interpreter when necessary.

The post holder will work with the Head of Audiology and the paediatric team to ensure that Clinical and Professional standards are maintained at all times., The ideal candidate will be friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude to service development. They will strive to continue providing a family-friendly service that meets the needs of the local population.
