Are you interested in Pelvic Health and looking to build a highly specialist range of skills?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated physiotherapist to join our Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Service. The team works closely with our maternity, urogynaecology, urology, colorectal and general consultant teams, and local specialist physiotherapists. We have recently successfully implemented a perinatal pelvic health service to empower patients earlier in their pregnancy to improve outcomes and experiences for our local population. We are always looking to develop and improve our services and work with our wider multidisciplinary team to manage a wide range of conditions across the whole patient journey.

The team will provide a mixture of bespoke in-house training to the successful candidate, alongside attendance at any external courses deemed essential to the job role.

Onsite parking is available and several staff travel from Norwich each day, so car shares are possible., You will be responsible for managing an inpatient caseload within our inpatient service for maternity and gynaecology patients. You will be responsible for your own outpatient caseload which includes patients with urinary, bowel, and pelvic floor dysfunction. You will be involved to varying degrees with triaging referrals and delivering group classes. You will also be involved in teaching and liaison with other health professionals up to consultant level, the development of students, and assisting the team when required with clinical audits and service development.

The Integrated Therapy Department are a positive and forward-thinking multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and therapy assistant practitioners. Personal and professional development is key within the James Paget University Hospital and the Integrated Therapies Department, and we are in the process of developing our research and innovation strategy in line with the AHP Research and Innovation Strategy.

As part of the role, you will be key in supporting the team to provide education not only within the Integrated Therapies Department but to our wider workforce, from healthcare assistants to qualified/overseas nursing staff and our medical colleagues.
