Full Job Description
Provide expert clinical leadership and oversight during shifts, acting as the senior point of contact. Mentor, support, and supervise junior staff, fostering a positive learning environment. Coordinate patient flow within the team , and multidisciplinary teamwork. Conduct rapid assessments of deteriorating patients and escalate care appropriately. Champion safety, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and policies. Manage complex situations and clinical incidents, ensuring robust documentation. Role-model exceptional, compassionate care and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Optimise resource allocation and support the Team Lead and Associate Director of Nursing for People with Mental Health Needs in daily operational delivery.
- A registered mental health/Learning disability nurse with significant experience at band 5
- Care Plan and risk Assessment knowledge
- Ability to shift Lead and supervise others
- Management of crisis situation Desirable
- Has worked in an Acute Hospital Setting previously
- Has a Post Registration qualification
- Is a practice Supervisor Meets Shortlisting criteria Essential
- Registered mental health/ learning Disability Nurse with Significant Experience at band 5
- Extensive knowledge of Risk and Crisis management
- Clinical Leadership and Supervision Skills
- Commitment to Professional Development and Quality Improvement Desirable
- A Recognised Post-Registration Qualification
