Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) ready for a new challenge as a Band 6 Clinical Team Leader within a specialist older adult inpatient service? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse who is passionate about caring for older people and committed to delivering the highest standards of mental and physical healthcare. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate how they plan to carry out the responsibilities of the role, as well as their commitment to collaborative team working.

The Clinical Team Leader will play a key role in leading others in the development of knowledge, ideas and clinical practice particularly in the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of care plans for older adults with both functional and organic mental illness.

You will support, guide and monitor the performance of nursing staff, including supervising the work of Staff Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and student nurses.

Main duties of the job

oTo plan, deliver and evaluate programmes of care to address people's needs, which are relatively stable and consistent with others in the ward.

oTo participate in partnership working with individuals, groups, communities and agencies.

oTo lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practice.

o To plan, allocate, assess and provide feedback to team members.

o To maintain and support the efficient use of physical and/or financial resources.
