Full Job Description
You will join our friendly and experienced Main Theatre team, working alongside leading consultants and skilled theatre colleagues. Our 10 theatres deliver complex surgery across Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Spinal Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Plastics, ENT, Ophthalmology and Cancer Services. You do not need experience in every specialty. If you have strong scrub experience in one area and would like to broaden your skills, our team will support your development.,
- Preparing surgical instruments, equipment and consumables Scrubbing and assisting across a range of surgical specialties Maintaining a safe and sterile theatre environment Anticipating the needs of surgeons during procedures Completing WHO safety checks and patient documentation Working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, recovery practitioners and theatre colleagues Supporting students, newly qualified colleagues and new starters Contributing to improvements in patient care and theatre services
