Full Job Description

Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will assess patients, plan and deliver individualised care, and support children and families throughout their healthcare journey. You will also contribute to health promotion, patient education and service improvement, while maintaining the highest standards of professional practice in line with the NMC Code. Main duties of the job

  • Deliver safe, effective and childcentred nursing care using evidencebased practice.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care plans for children and young people.
  • Carry out a range of essential nursing procedures and clinical assessments.
  • Monitor patient condition, recognise clinical deterioration and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Administer medications safely in accordance with policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate, timely and comprehensive patient records.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and safe discharge planning.
  • Provide information, advice and support to children, young people and their families to promote health and wellbeing.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and students, supporting learning and development.
