To manage on a day to day running of the plaster room efficiently.To manage effectively and efficiently the patient caseload within the plaster room, informing waiting patients of the reason for delays.To minimize hazards in the working area and report any identified hazards to the appropriate departments and line manager.To adhere to all safe systems of work applicable to the work area.To undertake risk assessments and implement risk reducing measures. Registered holder of the British Casting Certificate (BCC) (formerly BOA(SON)/AOT qualification) or equivalent - Demonstrates continuing professional development and recertification of BCC Experience Essential
- Significant recent experience working as a plaster technician in an acute environment
- Experienced in the application of a range of plaster casts
- Demonstrable experience of caring for patients
- Experienced in participation in audits and data collection Skills and aptitudes Essential
