Band 5 Amyloidosis Network MDT Co-ordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality amyloidosis care across the newly established Amyloidosis National Network, led by the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

NHS England has introduced a new model of care for systemic amyloidosis services in England. The transition from a single national centre to a hub-and-spoke network enables patients to receive high-quality specialist care closer to home, while maintaining the expertise and clinical oversight of the UK National Amyloidosis Centre (NAC) at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

As MDT Coordinator, you will support the coordination of patient pathways and multidisciplinary team activity across the network, helping to ensure seamless communication, continuity of care, and an excellent experience for patients and clinicians alike.

Coordinate and administer the Amyloidosis Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings across the UK Amyloidosis Network (UKAN), ensuring all eligible patients are identified, reviewed and discussed in a timely manner.

Work closely with Amyloidosis clinicians, specialist nurses and MDT members to establish and maintain processes for identifying patients requiring MDT review.

Prepare and distribute MDT agendas, patient lists and supporting clinical information within agreed timescales.

Ensure all relevant clinical information, including medical records, pathology, genetics, imaging and investigation results, is available to support MDT decision-making.

Accurately record MDT discussions, treatment recommendations and agreed actions, ensuring completion of all required MDT documentation.

Act as a key contact for MDT-related queries across the network and facilitate effective communication between clinicians, administrative teams and partner organisations.

Support the Amyloidosis clinical teams and UKAN Programme Manager in achieving service objectives and maintaining compliance with national and local standards.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the network.
