Safe administration of SACT and supportive therapies to oncology patients in an outpatient setting.
Nurse-led SACT toxicity assessments and appropriate escalation.
Work with the MDT to provide safe, evidence-based, holistic care.
Venepuncture/Cannulation/CVAD care.
UKONs triage and associated management.
Management of emergencies such as adverse reactions to treatment.
Contribute to service development and maintenance of cancer targets.
Coordinate shifts, manage workload and ensure safe staffing levels.
Deliver group pre-treatment patient education sessions.
Act as a role model to all staff.
Mentor/develop junior staff and colleagues.
Work with the senior team to improve the service and patient experience based on latest evidence and developments in cancer care.
Engage with educational opportunities locally, regionally and nationally, ensuring learning is shared with the wider team.
