Band 4 Team Leader

This role provides effective and efficient administrative and operational support to the Women's Clinical Management Group across Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals. The post holder will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day management of the department, including staff and resource coordination, while ensuring the smooth delivery of administrative services within maternity.

The post holder will play a key role in the day-to-day operational management of the department, ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective administrative support services. Responsibilities include overseeing the collation and production of departmental performance data and service measures and promoting the effective use of IT to enhance service delivery. The role will support the organisation and preparation of clinics and appointments to maximise efficiency, provide guidance and support to administrative staff, and help foster effective communication across the department. Working closely with the Assistant Service Manager, the post holder will contribute to continuous service improvement, maintain quality standards, provide training and support to colleagues, and develop expertise in maternity systems to act as a departmental resource when required.

The post holder will also undertake supervisory and managerial responsibilities, deputising for the Assistant Service Manager as required. This includes supporting the management of administrative staff, allocating workloads, authorising annual leave, arranging service cover, maintaining staff records, and contributing to appraisals and training. The role requires the ability to work independently, particularly when handling sensitive information and statistical data, while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with data protection requirements.
