Full Job Description

  • Coordinate the ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution of clinical and non-clinical products to wards, theatres, and departments.
  • Maintain optimum stock levels in line with agreed ROQ/ROL targets to ensure continuous product availability.
  • Assist with stock rationalisation, standardisation, and waste reduction through effective inventory management practices.
  • Process orders and inventory transactions using EDC, hand scanners, e-catalogues, warehouse systems, Sage, Genesis, CMM, and other Trust systems that are implemented.
  • Manage the replenishment of pharmaceutical products in accordance with agreed pharmacy stock portfolios and procedures.
  • Ensure the safe handling, transportation, and delivery of medicines and supplies across operational areas.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and support efficient inventory control processes.
  • Resolve day-to-day logistics and materials management queries, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams to support operational efficiency and service continuity.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Adhere to Trust policies, professional standards, and health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, organisational, and time management skills within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Remain flexible and adaptable to support different departmental roles and operational demands when required.
