Full Job Description
We are looking for a Radiology Department Assistant to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The post holder will be required to work 15 hours per week ( across two days) within the Breast Imaging Suite at St Albans City Hospital. The service runs Monday to Friday. Duties will include:
- Welcoming all patients and service users to the department.
- Completing administrative processes and supporting patient flow through the department.
- Booking patients in for their examinations and directing patients to the relevant waiting areas.
- Answering telephone queries.
- Preparing examination rooms and equipment.
- Assisting the Radiologists, Radiographers and Radiology Nurses during procedures. With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.
