We we are looking for a committed, caring, and compassionate individual to play a vital role in providing quality essential family centred care to women and babies under the direction of the Registered Midwife. Opportunities have arisen for Maternity Support Worker to join our Multi-Professional Team in its deliverance of high quality care to our women/birthing partners and their families., This role comprises working within a Multi - Professional Team delivering high quality care to women/birthing partners and their families on the labour ward and maternity theatres. Applicants ideally must have had prior experience working within a Maternity Department and will be expected to work independently; undertaking tasks, whilst remaining under the supervision of midwives. This will include providing care and support to postnatal women/birthing partners and their babies, phlebotomy, breastfeeding support and advice, and maintenance of essential equipment.

Working as a Maternity Support Worker enables you to gain exposure to a wide range of skills and offers extensive scope for professional development under the supervision of midwives. The Trust provides an extensive range of in-house training and support in ongoing professional development. Your personal development will be identified at your annual appraisal reviews and supported by your team leads and senior midwifery managers.

In addition to a full range of cancer diagnosis and treatment services, the Helen Rollason Cancer Support Centre is based on-site and provides services to support cancer patients' wellbeing.

We also provide community services and have a dedicated 0-19 service for children and young people in Enfield so that they can get the best possible start in life. This includes health visitors and school nurses who are delivering the national Healthy Child Programme, which provides a structured framework for the delivery of key interventions to support the health and wellbeing of children and families from 0 to 5 and school aged children from 5-19. The 0-19 service aims to improve pathways and partnerships with services in the hospital and deliver excellent care for the children and families.
