Chef / Supervisor in NHS hospital

Rota: (Flexibility required)

Week 1: Monday Tuesday Wednesday 7 - 3pm / Thursday Friday 10 - 6pm (Saturday & Sunday off)

Week 2: Monday Tuesday 10 - 6pm. Wednesday 7 - 3pm

Saturday Sunday 10 - 6pm (Thursday Friday off)

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day operational catering services of a designated catering site within the Estates and Facilities Division ensuring that the cooking and presentation of all food for patients, staff and visitors is of a high standard, whilst observing excellent food hygiene practices and procedures.

Performance Management

All employees have a responsibility to participate in regular appraisal with their manager and to identify performance standards of the post. As part of the appraisal process every employee is responsible for participating in identifying their own training and development need to meet their KSF outline., Responsible for a delegated budget ensuring the Catering function delivers value for money.

The supervision and training of Facilities Operatives - Catering under the direction of the Catering Services Lead.

Responsible for requisitioning of goods/stock.

Signatory for Bank and Agency staff in the absence of the Catering Services Lead.
