Band 3 Clinical Assistant

The post holder will be expected to liaise appropriately with all Key Members of themultidisciplinary team and service users relating to the speciality of BreastScreening.They will provide assistance to the Consultant Surgeon /Radiologist in the Breastscreening unit during biopsy procedures and clinical examination. Responsible for preparation and checking of equipment prior to biopsy procedure. Chaperoning of patients during consultation and clinical examination. Preparation of procedure trolley for ultrasound biopsy/Punch Biopsy. Application of dressing following biopsy procedure in accordance to the aseptic technique., An opportunity exists for a suitably experienced and innovative Clinical Assistant to join our renowned multi-professional team with a reputation of achieving clinical excellence. We have 1 post available 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am to 5pm .You will have the opportunity to develop your existing knowledge and skills and you will be encouraged to attend relevant courses.

• Experience and knowledge of working with patients.
• Evidence of relevant personal development.
• Knowledge of the NHS Breast Screening Programme
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to prioritise, work independently as well as within a team.
