Full Job Description

Some exciting opportunities have arisen for aspiring Theatre Support Workers to support the clinical team at Good Hope Theatres, Solihull Main Theatres and Solihull Elective Hub Theatres.

The theatres offer specialities such as orthopaedics, gynae, general, obstetrics, ophthalmology and emergency on the Good Hope site and Urology, robotics, colorectal, breast/plastics, orthopaedic and UGI surgery on the Solihull site.

We are seeking applications from hardworking, honest and reliable individuals who are interested in a unique position that directly contributes to high-quality patient-centred care.

The post holder will undertake the movement of patients, equipment and designated items throughout the hospital and will contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe working environment as well as playing a vital role within the operating Theatre., Assist with the care and treatment of patients whilst in the department promoting patient safety, comfort, privacy and dignity and confidentiality.

Obtain consent from patients prior to conducting any intervention and where this is withheld seek advice or support from a registered practitioner.

Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control practice by adhering to policies and procedures and supporting the maintenance of a clean clinical environment.

When required undertake collection and delivery of items within the Trust (Blood products, specimens ,instrumentation

Escort patients, visitors and staff to and from the departments and around the hospital.
