Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit a receptionist to join our friendly St Albans Preoperative Assessment team.

The role involves providing a professional, efficient, and courteous frontline service, acting as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff.

Operational hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00, excluding Bank Holidays.

Main duties of the job

Provide a welcoming and efficient reception service as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, both in person and via telephone.

Handle routine patient enquiries, using tact and sensitivity to gather relevant information and signpost patients to the appropriate trained staff.

Record patients' attendance onto EPR.

Undertake routine administrative duties including filing, scanning, processing correspondence.

Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of reception services, contributing to a high standard of patient care and service delivery.
