Full Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated, organised, and motivated individual to join our friendly Stores team in the Pharmacy Department at Watford General Hospital. The position is full-time, requiring 37.5 hours per week, with a work schedule of 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will receive training and instruction for a Level 2 NVQ in pharmacy service skills and pharmaceutical science. This will involve learning remotely or travelling to college supported by regular study sessions in the department., The post involves:

  • Daily stock maintenance activities.
  • Picking and packing medicine requisitions for dispatch to internal and external locations.
  • Providing a medicines top-up service to ward and departments at Watford General Hospital.
  • Handling stock in various sizes, weights and quantities.
  • The successful applicant must be adaptable and flexible, capable of working under pressure in response to sudden changes in service needs.
