Full Job Description

An Exciting Opportunity has arisen for a well-motivated, kind and caring individual to become part of our Patient Portering Team based at Solihull Hospital.

The successful person will need to be a role model for our Trust values of Kind, Connected and Bold and will need to demonstrate a high standard of care and compassion for all our patients and service users at Solihull Hospital.

The Post is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week over a 7-day period, covering a range of shifts, that mainly consist of 6am -- 2pm, 2pm -- 10pm and 10pm -- 6am (nights). This role includes weekends and Bank holiday working., The main duties of the role are:

Moving patients and visitors around the site to appointments, wards and departments.

Being actively involved in the movement of all important patient materials and equipment.

Safely and effectively removing all waste streams from all areas of the hospital site, working in line with waste legislations and laws.

Being a point of support for our clinical and non-clinical teams at Solihull Hospital when called upon
