Full Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Health Care Assistant to work within our large Outpatients Department, which is part of the West Hertfordshire NHS Trust, based at St Albans Hospital, and sees approximately 78,000-80,000 patients per year., To assist and chaperone with patients who are attending clinics in the Outpatients Department.

To set up and oversee clinics of varied specialities.

To assist the Registered Nurse with specified clinical activities.

Under the supervision of the Registered nurse prepare and undertake agreed clinical activities with patients in clinics.

To prepare and maintain the environment for clinical activity.

To ensure to maintain the privacy, dignity and individuality of the patients at all times.

To be flexible in the performance of the post, particularly regarding clinics, hours and OPD site, and to carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by senior staff.

We are looking for an individual who is extremely hard-working, patient-focused, and able to work to deliver the best care to our patients.

You will need to be a motivated, enthusiastic, organised, and knowledgeable leader who enjoys working within a large team of all bands, including Student Nurses at all levels.
