This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic service that plays a vital role in preparing patients for surgery.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare support worker to join our busy Pre-Operative Assessment (POA) team at St Albans City Hospital.
This is a full-time, fixed term role, based in the Pre-Operative Assessment Department at St Albans City Hospital and operates Monday to Friday, 08:00-18:00 (excluding Bank Holidays), over four shifts per week.
Perform clinical tasks including ECGs, patient observations, swabs, and venepuncture.
Accurately document medical histories and patient information using electronic systems.
Support patients with compassion and professionalism throughout their pre-operative journey.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality care.
Prioritise workload, multitask effectively, and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
