B6 Eating Disorders Occupational Therapist

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our innovative and expanding Adult Eating Disorders Service (AEDS) as an Occupational Therapist within a specialist multidisciplinary team. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate clinician to deliver high-quality, evidence-based assessment, intervention and consultation for adults experiencing eating disorders. This is an exciting time to join the service as our Occupational Therapy pathway continues to evolve, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to service development, innovation and quality improvement alongside our Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist. Our Occupational Therapy practice is underpinned by the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO), providing a strong occupation-focused framework for assessment, intervention and clinical reasoning. We are also strengthening the integration of occupational science, neuroscience and evidence-based practice to ensure contemporary, recovery-focused care. As part of a supportive Occupational Therapy leadership structure, you will benefit from regular professional and clinical supervision, access to specialist eating disorder training, professional development opportunities, communities of practice, leadership and quality improvement initiatives, and profession-specific CPD events. You will also have opportunities to contribute to service development, research and innovation., This role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about enabling people to reconnect with meaningful occupations, supporting recovery, and developing specialist skills within eating disorders. Main duties of the job Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:

• To provide high quality and evidence based occupational therapy assessment and interventions, both group and individual, to people who access services and their carers/supporters/family members, in line with the occupational therapy pathways.
• To communicate effectively with people who access services, carers, the multi-disciplinary team and when appropriate outside agencies.
• To contribute to the generic functioning of the team.
• To provide supervision and mentoring to more junior occupational therapists, occupational therapy apprenticeships, support workers and activities coordinators (as appropriate)
• To provide occupational therapy student placements.
• To contribute to service development and audits.
• To take on the role of lead professional as appropriate.
