About this Role
You'll support learners under the guidance of the Inclusion Team, helping them progress and grow in confidence across a range of learning environments. You'll keep accurate records, use ProMonitor effectively and share key information with staff, families and external partners. You'll help learners settle into college through transition activities and use their support plans, EHCPs and learner profiles to guide your practice. You'll encourage independence, explore effective learning strategies and contribute to team meetings, training and wider college events. You'll also follow SEND guidance, safeguarding expectations and college standards to ensure every learner receives high quality, consistent support.
We have a variety of Learning Support Worker opportunities available across our four campuses in Gloucester, Cinderford, Cheltenham and Hardwick (our new campus). Positions are available with a range of working hours, including both part-time and full-time opportunities, offering flexibility to suit different circumstances. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on learners' college experience, helping them develop confidence, independence and achieve their goals within a supportive team environment.
About You
- Experience supporting SEND learners, ideally in a specialist or post-16 setting.
- GCSE Maths and English at grade C/Level 2, or willingness to work towards them.
- Practical safeguarding experience in an education or support environment.
