Full Job Description
Under the guidance and supervision of the Registered Nurse the Auxiliary Nurse will provide high quality holistic care to Patients and their families as well as ensuring that safe environment is maintained at all times.

Due to the nature of this role in a hospice setting, we need to carry out an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) if you are appointed. This role involves direct contact with vulnerable adults, children, or other at-risk individuals. You will be expected to safeguard and promote the welfare of each child, young person and young adult, maintain an awareness of safeguarding issues and an understanding of standard reporting procedures.
We do not offer sponsorships, you must have existing right to work in the UK for this role.

21.5 hours per week ( 4 nights per fortnight )
Base salary £24,853 - £25,491 per annum full time which is £14,249 - £14,614 pro rata
(plus allowance for unsocial hours)
To be worked predominantly night duty with some rotation onto day shift
St Oswalds Hospice is a renowned hospice dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care to individuals and their families. Our mission is to provide specialist palliative and end of life care to adults, children and young people in the north east of England.
We are currently looking for two Auxiliary Nurses to work within our Adult Inpatient Unit providing holistic care to our patients and families. You must enjoy working as part of a busy team, have good communication skills and enjoy working with patients, families, staff and volunteers. The successful applicant must have experience working with patients with life limiting conditions and be qualified to N.V.Q level 2.
