Full Job Description
Unlock an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring certification provides ongoing confidence in compliance with applicable quality and safety standards. As an Auditor, you will visit manufacturing facilities across the UK, with occasional international travel, conducting audits of production processes, and producing detailed reports. You will work closely with clients and internal technical teams, helping to maintain the integrity of Intertek's certification schemes while supporting continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
Key Activities
Scheduling and conducting of audits at various locations (mainly UK but potential for limited international travel).
Assess production processes, quality control systems, testing activities, and manufacturing operations against Intertek conformity criteria and applicable product standards.
Report writing (clear, accurate, and detailed reports).
Involvement in UKAS and similar accreditation audits.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit, inspection, and quality assurance processes.

You are a detail-oriented and motivated professional with experience in a manufacturing, quality, or auditing environment. You enjoy working independently, building positive relationships with clients, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. You have a methodical approach to your work, excellent attention to detail, and the confidence to visit customer sites and carry out inspections and audits. Strong IT and report-writing skills, a willingness to travel, and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Experience of ISO 9001 would be desirable but not essential
Experience working within an ISO/IEC 17020-accredited inspection environment or conducting inspection activities in accordance with ISO/IEC 17020 principles would be advantageous.
