Full Job Description

The service is based in Reading, and delivered across a number of Berkshire and South Oxfordshire locations. The clinician will be part of the team working across these sites to support the local community.

Additional Responsibilities

Motivation to develop and diversify your clinical skills in order to manage a complex caseloads and potentially support other clinics within the department (i.e. paediatrics, tinnitus).

There will be opportunities to push service quality and the technical knowledge forward.

The role will involve training and supervision of internal and external students.

You will have scope to be involved in audit, service evaluation and improve projects to help maintain IQIPS accreditation, which the service has held since 2014.

The Audiology team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital (RBH) are looking for an enthusiastic audiologist to join their friendly department. As a band 5 Audiologist you will be expected to have previous clinical experience of working independently in adult audiology clinics, although this may include university clinical placements.

You will be part of a team who are supportive and keen to share learning. Development into wider clinical areas is encouraged and supported. There is a proven track record of creating opportunity for wider training, support on recognised professional programmes and academic study.

You will have a degree (or equivalent) in Audiology and have obtained, or be working towards, professional state registration., You will have experience in providing adult diagnostic hearing assessment and adult rehabilitation work.

You will have prior experience of independently providing ENT support and hearing aid repair and maintenance for service users.

Wider experience will be considered, for example, previous work in paediatrics
