Full Job Description

  • Following the critical path to ensure titles are cast, assigned, and delivered on time and to budget
  • Maintaining accurate bibliographic data
  • Casting and planning productions with creativity, authenticity and a view on potential commercial opportunities
  • Working with narrators and studios, including attending recording sessions
  • Working closely with editorial teams to ensure manuscripts and artwork are received in a timely manner
  • Working closely with the marketing and PR teams to promote and champion audio editions and discoverability
  • Negotiating narrator fees and terms with voice agents
  • Quality control and distribution of files
  • Communicating with retailers
  • Delivering excellent author care
  • Maintaining and updating the audio publishing programme
  • Administrative responsibilities in support of the wider team

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our award-winning audio division in creating high-quality, innovative audiobooks. You will lead on our Children's and YA audio publishing as well as support production across our adult trade imprints and the team's administrative needs.
  • This role is a perfect opportunity for a creative and collaborative audio professional looking to step up. The ideal candidate will have a passion for audiobooks and be familiar with the audio space, with clear thoughts on what makes a successful audiobook.,
  • Experience working in publishing and/or audio at an Assistant Editor or Editor level
  • Able to demonstrate a love of audiobooks and publishing, particularly children's and YA content
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Able to deliver multiple projects to deadlines at a consistent level of quality
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Creative and passionate about high-quality audio production
  • Self-starter
  • Eager to learn
  • Flexible and calm under pressure
  • Happy working in a small team
  • Have strong relationship-building skills and be able to collaborate effectively with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communicator and confident in working with talent, agents and authors
  • Confident using a variety of IT platforms
