Full Job Description

As the Attendance and Welfare Officer, you will take a lead role in the administration of pupil data & information and pupil attendance. You will implement 'first day' response strategies/policy and home visits to improve attendance across the academy. You will support Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) in providing a high quality and effective safeguarding and pastoral support across the academy, maintaining accurate records and working with staff, pupils, parents and external agencies to ensure appropriate plans and strategies are in place to support pupils and their families. You will develop positive, respectful and responsive relationships with parents/carers and partners to enable children and young people to develop their full potential., The class of 2025 left our Academy with fantastic results; 54% of students gaining a grade 5 or above in both English and maths, which is the highest attainment in the history of the Academy and making it one of the highest attaining schools in Doncaster. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, with academic, vocational and technical subjects offered to all our students and we deliver a rich and varied personal development curriculum. We offer a wide range of enrichment activities in order to unearth a variety of strengths and talent, which we strongly encourage students to take part in. We also take learning beyond the classroom with events and educational visits running throughout the year. We serve the villages of Conisbrough and Denaby Main, situated between Doncaster and Rotherham. We are a small but oversubscribed academy, with over 750 students on roll, and we pride ourselves on knowing our students well and doing our best to ensure
everyone fulfils their potential.

We benefit from having a recently built academy situated in spacious grounds with excellent facilities including a recently built 3g astroturf pitch.

At De Warenne, we value the continuous professional development of all our employees and recognise that our staff and students are most successful when they feel happy, valued, challenged and supported to achieve their very best.

Our senior leadership team, along with our dedicated teachers and support staff, are committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for every child in our care. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team within a high-performing multi academy trust with exciting career prospects for successful applicants. Come and visit us and see for yourself!
