Full Job Description
As an Assurance and Performance Supervisor, you'll play a key role in overseeing quality, safety and performance across maintenance activities. Supporting the Maintenance Manager, you'll help ensure work is delivered in line with contractual, statutory and regulatory requirements, while driving continuous improvement across operational and administrative functions. Although this role has no direct line management responsibility, you'll provide day-to-day oversight of the administration function whilst working closely with operational teams, contractors and stakeholders. Day-to-day, you'll be:
- Leading quality assurance activity to verify that maintenance works are safe, compliant and meet required standards.
- Supporting the planning and coordination of maintenance activity, ensuring effective deployment of resources and workloads.
- Monitoring and improving performance against key performance indicators, escalating risks and issues where required.
- Carrying out audits, site inspections and assurance checks to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Acting as a key liaison between maintenance teams, contractors and stakeholders to manage incidents or outputs that may impact service delivery. This is a full-time, onsite role, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with participation in an on-call rota (allowance and call-out payments apply).
- Experience working within a busy maintenance or facilities management environment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety within the built environment.
- Experience producing and evaluating risk assessments and method statements.
- Proven problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
- Flexibility to work outside core hours and participate in an on-call rota. Qualifications for the Assurance and Performance Supervisor:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office.
- Health and Safety qualifications such as SMSTS or IOSH (desirable).
- Technical competence to support Authorised Person or Responsible Person appointments, where required. Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
