Assurance Analysts work with the Operations Manager, Senior Management, Information Analysts and Statisticians to ensure that all elements of the service are monitored, recorded and reported consistently, on time and to the highest possible standard of data quality. Assurance Analysts ensure that Caseworkers and Clinical Advisers have the data, database and information technology tools to deliver an efficient, consistent and accountable service. Assurance Services is a fast-paced, evolving and high-profile part of our business and therefore is subject to performance measures and targets. The Assurance Analyst is responsible for managing their own workload under a high degree of pressure and time constraints. Therefore the role calls for someone with technical expertise, operational experience and high degrees of professionalism., 1. Delivering highly complex information, analysis and reports on all aspects of clinical and non-clinical casework; ensuring they are on time and meet the highest possible standard of data quality. 2. Delivering and presenting complex financial and management information to senior internal and external stakeholders. 3. Managing own time and priorities without supervision to proactively identify opportunities for the delivery of further research, insight, analysis, recommendations and actions which will improve the service, without set direction. 4. Using data to provide calibration, quality and assurance reports to casework and clinical team leads, including sampling casework for checking. 5. Producing fully documented information and analyses to satisfy ad-hoc requests in a timely manner; making impactful recommendations on further casework actions, contributing to their timely implementation. 6. Developing effective database tools to support casework and clinical teams. 7. Acting as system administrator for all casework information technologies and databases; documenting, monitoring and maintaining users permissions, updates and releases, secure data transferring protocols. 8. Identifying and implementing improvements to databases and information technologies; representing the service with IT colleagues and external service/system providers. 9. Training teams in the use of casework information technologies and databases, and using and presenting data. 10. Using knowledge, experience and tact to support Statisticians and Information Analysts to develop data and information into effective operational reports and tools for casework and clinical teams. 11. Undertaking complex and detailed information analysis of health sector data sets and reports requiring high levels of concentration. 12. Researching, testing and reviewing new concepts, models, methods, practices, products and equipment. 13. Monitoring identified risks and issues using tracking mechanisms and ensuring proactive resolution or escalation. 14. Contributing to the information provision for our stakeholders and taking a lead for specific projects. 15. Providing coordination of and participating in relevant meetings, including providing information, advice, training and support. 16. Participating in relevant internal and external working groups or projects providing advice and support on information management. 17. Representing the organisation as a data/business expert with internal and external customers. 18. Delivering against organisational objectives, achieving quality outcomes, prioritising own workload and working to tight deadlines. 19. Providing specialist training, advice and support on own role/responsibilities where necessary and support training and induction of new staff. 20. Ensuring that analyses produced adhere and comply with Information Governance procedures and protocols, including the confidentiality of patient and staff records. 21. Producing, documenting and maintaining operational processes and procedures and checklists for all areas of work and ensure they are held centrally. 22. Participating fully at meetings with clarity, professionalism and tact, and presenting detailed information clearly, concisely and diplomatically whilst ensuring that the audience understands the content and implications of the information discussed. 23. Providing information to answer Parliamentary Questions and Freedom of Information requests. 24.
