associate Respiratory Physiologist

We are looking for an enthusiastic associate Respiratory Physiologist with an interest in cardio-pulmonary exercise testing.

You will support this busy, quality driven team to effectively support the lung function service as a whole.

The Respiratory Physiology team is responsible for the adult lung function and sleep investigations across three sites across the Trust. This involves routine lung function and outpatient sleep study provision. We also provide more advanced specialist testing including CPET. A range of specialist consultant clinics are offered at the CDC which we provide diagnostics for

The post holder will be primarily based at the CDC with some cross site cover. They will take an active role in delivering the GP access spirometry service. They will also conduct a range of respiratory diagnostics. Oportunities for training and development will also be available.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated individual to join the Lung Function department at the CDC (Community Diagnostic Centre).

The role will also provide cross site working for lung function within other Trust sites. There will be an opportunity to train in cardiorespiratory diagnostics, including ECG analysis.

The service will run 12 hours a day across 7 days, therefore the successful candidate may be required to work 12 hour shifts. Responsibilities will include performing diagnostic respiratory tests for community-based patients, supporting the delivery of an integrated and patient-centered service, and contributing to the development and implementation of innovative diagnostic pathways in partnership with the wider respiratory team.

This includes ensuring smooth operation and high standards of care within the CDC, maintaining equipment, and assisting with quality assurance processes.
