Summary
There are vacancies for up to two Associate Non-executive Directors at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust. This is an exceptional opportunity to share your talents and expertise to make a positive difference to the lives of people served by the Trust. The Associate NED role is used successfully in the NHS to support Board succession planning and to achieve a balance of Board level skills. Associate NEDs cannot participate in any formal vote at Board, but we welcome their views and perspectives, particularly on the impact of our decisions on our patients.
The successful candidates for the Associate role will be appointed by the Trust but may also be considered for appointment as a full NED of the Board in future (within two years from initial appointment) should a vacancy arise and they meet the essential criteria. You will need to demonstrate a genuine commitment to patient care, patient experience, and the promotion of excellent health care services.
The Trust is open minded about the knowledge, skills and experience you can offer. The Trust is particularly interested in candidates who can bring professional expertise and/or lived experience in respect of the following areas:
- Clinical services, including primary care, urgent and emergency care, nursing, allied health professionals, and clinical commissioning
- Health and care technology; digital transformation; Artificial Intelligence; cyber security
