Associate - Dispute Resolution

Travers Smith is recruiting two Associates to join our award-winning Dispute Resolution department on a permanent basis. Associates in the team will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the delivery of an outstanding client service. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a technically excellent, commercial, and agile approach to a wide range of complex and sizeable disputes matters. Over the course of their careers, Dispute Resolution lawyers at Travers Smith take on the full range of work covered by the department and Associates can expect to work alongside any of the Partners in the team.,

• Associates can expect to be involved in the full lifecycle of a range of cases, with plenty of opportunity for client contact, working directly with Counsel and dealing with opposing solicitors. We expect our Associates to be fully immersed in the evidence, to take the lead on procedural matters, and to be involved in shaping the strategic direction of a case from start to finish.
  
  Qualified Solicitor in a Common Law jurisdiction.
• An outstanding academic record and intellectual curiosity.
• At least 2 years' experience working in a similar role, advising on a range of complex and sizeable disputes matters, within a disputes department at a leading firm.
• Enthusiastic approach to problem-solving and the ability to think creatively where required.
• Confident in drafting and commercially astute.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• An inquisitive personality with a keen attention to detail.
• An ability to work both autonomously and within a collegiate environment.
• Experience of diligent management of a diverse caseload in a proactive and proficient manner.
• Resourceful with excellent time management skills.
• A willingness to show commitment to, and engagement with, the firm's culture.
