Full Job Description
As an Associate Director within our Controls Advisory practice, you will be instrumental in driving market growth for AI governance, risk, and control services, working closely with our Trustworthy AI Partner and Director team to identify, shape, and secure new client engagements that address their most pressing AI adoption challenges We are looking for a leader with a blend of professional services business development and delivery skills to support the growth of the practice, delivering AI Governance, risk and controls projects across different engagement teams, working across all parts of the business to assess the risk around AI systems. You will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:
- Lead the origination, qualification, and conversion of new opportunities for AI GRC services, trustworthy AI and controlling AI, collaborating with Partners and Directors to expand our market footprint
- Proactively engage with senior client stakeholders to understand their evolving AI risk landscape, shaping bespoke solutions that leverage Deloitte's full breadth of Trustworthy AI capabilities and solutions
- Building your internal network across AI teams and capabilities across the firm
- Developing your own external network in the market
- Apply problem solving and critical thinking to AI Risk and Control challenges;
- Working with our clients and teams to develop governance, operating and process models to manage the risk associated with AI adoption; · Assess and design AI governance models, controls and frameworks;
- Manage client relationships in the context of engagement delivery;
- Contribution to a strong client relationship through interactions with client personnel, ensuring quality in delivering of client service;
- Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution;
- Support the development of our AI risk capability and drive market eminence through thought leadership, industry presentations, and client forums, positioning Deloitte as the go-to advisor for Trustworthy AI and directly contributing to our pipeline generation.
You are adept at navigating ambiguity, proactively identifying client challenges related to AI, and designing compelling, commercially viable solutions - You can build and maintain client relationships

- Working knowledge of core AI concepts and principles
- Strong understanding of AI risk domains and the AI regulatory environment
- Strong understanding of AI governance and operating models
- Excellent interpersonal skills and capacity to build client relationships and lead delivery teams
- Ability to influence senior internal and client stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, Accounting / Auditing / Finance / Economics / Business Administration or equivalent, and a Postgraduate or equivalent qualification in a relevant area. Other academic background with quantitative skills and relevant experience will also be considered as a strong asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including in English (Proficiency)
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a professional demeanour, Broader experience in Technology Risk, Controls Transformation, Operational Risk or Digital Risk
- Professional certification such as CISA, AIGP, CISSP, CRISC, CIPM, CISM, ISO Certifications, ITIL or equivalent
- Experience of AI risk domains, including AI ethics
- Working knowledge of core AI concepts and principles
