Associate Director of Babies Children and Young People's Professionals Band 8D

West London NHS Trust has embarked on an ambitious restructure of its services to create a Babies, Children and Young People's Service Line that brings together community physical and mental health services across our 3 Boroughs (and beyond for some specialist services). This creates an opportunity to deliver truly integrated physical and mental health care innovation and the role of the Associate Director of Babies, Children and Young People's Professionals will play a key role in achieving this. The role will report directly to the Clinical Director of the service line to ensure that clinical and professional standards are clear, evidence based, consistently applied and capable of providing assurance through the Service Line into Trust governance structures. The post holder will line manage the Band 8c Heads of Discipline (and any new and emerging professional leadership roles as the Service Line develops), ensuring that professional leadership arrangements are robust, inclusive and aligned with operational priorities, quality governance, workforce development and the Trust's clinical strategy. They will work alongside the Associate Director for Operations, operational leaders and corporate professional leads to strengthen clinical practice, supervision, training, safeguarding, quality improvement and learning from incidents, complaints and patient/carer feedback.,

• Professional leadership: Provide strategic and operational professional leadership across non-medical disciplines, ensuring that staff are supported to deliver safe, effective, compassionate and developmentally appropriate care.
• Line management: Line manage the Heads of Discipline in CAMHS and any new and emerging professional leadership roles as the Service Line develops, ensuring appraisal, supervision, objectives, professional development and performance arrangements are in place and aligned to Trust policy.
• Standards and assurance: Develop and maintain systems to set, monitor and evidence clinical and professional standards, including training, supervision, competencies, registration and compliance with relevant policy and regulatory expectations.
• Governance: Provide assurance through the Service Line into Trust governance structures, ensuring that risks, incidents, complaints, audit findings, quality improvement work and learning are triangulated and acted on.
• Integration: Support consistent professional standards across CAMHS and children's community healthcare services, including 0-19 universal services, while recognising the distinct professional requirements of each discipline and service model.
