Associate Director Clinical Operations

Advanced Clinical is seeking an experienced Associate Director, Clinical Operations Lead to join our growing Functional Service Provider (FSP) team, supporting a global biopharmaceutical partner.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinical operations professional to lead the operational strategy and end-to-end delivery of global clinical studies within a collaborative, matrix environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the operational strategy and execution of global clinical studies from protocol development through study close-out.Provide leadership to cross-functional study teams, ensuring studies are delivered to quality, budget and timeline expectations.Manage CROs and external vendors, driving strong oversight and performance.Develop study timelines, budgets, forecasts and resource plans.Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.Act as a key operational partner to internal stakeholders throughout the study lifecycle.Support inspection readiness, audits and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Minimum of 10 years' clinical operations experience within a pharmaceutical company, biotechnology company or CRO.Proven experience independently leading global clinical trials from start-up through close-out.Experience managing multiple vendors and CROs across international studies.Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving processes.Thorough understanding of ICH-GCP and global clinical trial regulations.
Preferred Experience
Experience in Phase IV, late-phase and/or observational studies.Experience working closely with Medical Affairs.Experience delivering complex, multi-country clinical studies.Gene therapy experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
