As an Associate Director in SAP+ Design & Innovation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how organisations harness the power of AI to transform their SAP environments. You will lead engagements from initial shaping through to delivery and client sign-off, holding accountability for outcomes, client satisfaction, and commercial performance. This role puts you at the interface of strategy and delivery. You will advise senior client stakeholders on AI capabilities and opportunity, challenge conventional thinking, and help organisations make bold, well-informed decisions about their technology futures. At the same time, you will ensure your engagement teams have the direction, support, and conditions they need to deliver with excellence. Connect to your skills and professional experience We are looking for people who combine consulting leadership with a genuine understanding of AI and its application in enterprise contexts. You do not need to be a hands-on developer, but you must be technically credible - able to have informed conversations with AI engineers, architects, and client technology leaders, and to make sound judgements about AI solution design and feasibility.
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong consulting leadership experience, commercial acumen, and a substantive understanding of AI capabilities. Specifically:
- Proven track record of leading technology consulting engagements, with experience owning client relationships and delivery accountability at a senior level.
- Strong knowledge of AI technologies - including large language models (LLMs), AI agent frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agentic workflow design - and the ability to translate these into practical client solutions.
- Experience shaping and winning technology consulting opportunities, including contributing to proposals, presentations, and commercial negotiations.
- Ability to engage credibly with senior client stakeholders - including C-suite and technology leadership - on AI strategy, capability, and investment decisions.
- Understanding of the SAP ecosystem and how AI can augment or transform SAP implementations, either directly or through integration with AI-native tooling.
- Experience leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams, including coaching Senior Managers, Managers, and Consultants to deliver with quality and grow their careers.
- Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI principles, and how to navigate client risk and compliance considerations in AI deployments.
- Experience working with AI-powered development tools and platforms such as Cursor IDE, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot is advantageous, as is familiarity with LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini). Soft skills
