Associate Data Scientist - Graduate Programme

dunnhumby is looking for talented individuals to join our 2027 Data Science Graduate Programme! As part of the Graduate Programme, you will be involved in shaping our platform for the future, whilst also gaining knowledge and experience of different areas of dunnhumby. The dh Data Science Graduate Programme will explore the Applied Data Science and Data Science Engineering teams during two rotations over a 12-month period. You will rotate through the core roles of an Applied Data Scientist, who executes projects to provide compelling insights and a Data Science Engineer, who creates science products and software to use across dunnhumby. You will be responsible for
Contributing to a range of projects and business challenges through two rotational placements across different areas of the business. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes that create value for clients and customers. Applying data science and engineering techniques to solve problems of increasing complexity, with coaching and support from experienced colleagues. Communicating insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including stakeholders and business leaders where appropriate. Taking ownership of your development by actively engaging in mentoring, training and learning opportunities throughout the programme. Building strong relationships, embracing feedback, and living our values in everything you do. Maintaining required technical and professional certifications, completing mandatory training, and always acting in line with our values.
You will need

To hold/expect to achieve a 2.1 or equivalent in an undergraduate degree in a STEM or numerate subject e.g. Engineering, Stats, Maths, Computer Science, Data Science, Chemistry, Physics or Economics. Experience of using a range of analytical techniques The ability to use logic and problem-solving skills Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships
