Job Description Turner & Townsend is recruiting an Associate Cost Manager / Commercial Manager for its prestigious infrastructure-based projects. As an experienced individual, you will bring a wealth of cost management experience to a new and dynamic environment. You should be comfortable engaging in challenging conversations with a consultative approach, bringing out the best in your team and clients. Main Purpose of Role
- Establish friendly, professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we support.
- Administer contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
- Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.
- Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely applications.
- Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
- Manage contract changes effectively, ensuring projects remain within governance and best practice.
- Drive improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
- Provide sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.
- Ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
- Lead people and commissions as needed. Qualifications
- Proven cost / commercial management experience
- Preferably MRICS qualification
- Experience with NEC3 contracts (particularly Option C - Target Cost)
- Post-contract administration experience
- Experience on major programmes and projects
- Experience on infrastructure projects (rail, air, marine/ports, utilities, highways)
- Experience leading and managing teams SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. Turner & Townsend is an equal opportunity employer.
