The Associate Chief Nursing Information Officer (ACNIO) is a senior nursing leader within the Corporate Nursing team, responsible for leading the digital transformation agenda across Nursing, Midwifery, and Allied Health Professional (AHP) services. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer and Digital Services for the Acute Provider Collaborative, to integrate digital systems that enhance clinical practice, improve patient outcomes, and optimise operational efficiency. The role provides strategic leadership on digital initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Trust's and Acute Provider Collaborative's goals. The ACNIO supports readiness for electronic patient record (EPR) implementation, leads on professional digital standards, and ensures digital solutions are safe, effective, and enhance patient care. This position also contributes to education, clinical engagement, and governance around digital innovations., The Associate Chief Nursing Information Officer (ACNIO) plays a key leadership role in driving the digital transformation of nursing, midwifery, and Allied Health Professional (AHP) services across the Trust. The post holder provides strategic clinical leadership, working closely with divisional leaders and digital teams to embed safe and effective digital solutions, such as the Electronic Patient Record (EPR). They will lead the Nursing and Midwifery Informatics Programme, ensuring alignment with both Trust-wide and Acute Provider Collaborative digital strategies. The ACNIO assesses clinical risk, facilitates service readiness, and supports the standardisation of practice through informatics. Acting as a key conduit between clinical teams and digital governance structures, the role ensures that changes to clinical systems are informed by frontline practice, improve patient outcomes, and support high standards of care. Additionally, the ACNIO commissions data reports, advises on nursing metrics, and represents the Trust at strategic digital forums.
