About the SEND Team: Our SEND Team offer support to students across all subjects, from ages 11 to 18. Our Associate Assistant Principal for SEND (SENDCo) manages the team and is supported by an Assistant SENDCo, who offer years of experience in schools and SEND provision. The wider team consists of two Senior Key Workers and a team of 11 Teaching Assistants. Each TA has a different skill set, which complements the individual requirements of our students meaning that the team is able to provide a number of approaches including ELSA support and access to our sensory hub.
As an Associate Assistant Principal for SEND at The Hart School, you will act as the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator and will bring your passion for education and dedication to support students' growth. You will be highly motivated and be able to offer strategic and operational oversight for our students with SEND. Our Ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified teacher
- Hold NASENCo, or be willing to undertake the qualification
- Have experience of working successfully with SEND students in a mainstream setting
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and third parties
